Central Gurdwara shall be holding its 2nd Gurmat camp following on from the great success of previous camp in September 2007. The one day camp is for all age groups. Children under 6 years old will require their parents to be present.
Gurmat camps are a great for all of us to learn Sikh history, Sikh philosophy and in general about our Sikh faith. They also provide for great interaction and bonding between us and the mechanism for us to learn and share with others of the same age. The motto for Central Gurdwara remains to “Make Learning Fun”.
- MAIN HIGHLIGHTS
- Lectures on Sikh History and various Sikh issues inc. Group discussion
- Special lecture on those that sacrificed themselves for the Sikh Faith.
- Workshop on Karah Parshad making and Pagri tying.
- A synopsis on Gatka history, demonstration and a Gatka workshop.
- Quiz competition and pictorial competition.
It is truly an incredible experience that should not be missed! The knowledge you obtain will remain with you and help you throughout your life.

- The camp is open to all children aged 3 and over, youths and adults.
- Registration forms are available from the sewadaars prior to the camp and registration start at 9.00am on the day of the camp for those not already registered.
